About

The Black Women Executive Human Resources LeadHERship Collective is a national nonprofit organization created to champion, connect, and elevate Black women serving in C-Suite and Senior executive leadership roles across all industries and sectors.

We are a national community of trailblazers, innovators, and changemakers leading at the highest levels of business, academia, government, and nonprofit leadership.  While our foundation is rooted in Human Capital and Organizational Leadership, our vision embraces the full spectrum of executive influence, from strategy, governance, and operations to finance, technology, and enterprise transformation.

The Collective exists to elevate and amplify the voices of Black women executives, ensuring their leadership is recognized, represented, and respected in every room where decisions are made and futures are shaped.

Our Mission

The mission of the Black Women Executive Human Resources LeadHERship Collective is to invigorate, empower, equip, and connect Black women executives and thought leaders across industries, sectors, and disciplines, ensuring that our voices, influence, and leadership are fully represented in shaping the future of work.

We are committed to creating a national, high-trust ecosystem that provides more than community; it includes strategy, strength, and sustainability. The Collective is a space where Black women executives are connected in purpose and united in impact.

Through this mission, we strive to:

  • Provide Safe and Inclusive Spaces where Black women leaders can engage in candid, unfiltered dialogue, affirming their lived experiences and sharing strategies to thrive in the highest levels of leadership.

  • Cultivate Peer-Upward Mentorship, a reciprocal model of learning, growth, and sponsorship among seasoned leaders who understand both the weight and privilege of executive responsibility.

  • Facilitate Cross-Sector Collaborations that leverage influence across business, government, academia, philanthropy, and nonprofit sectors to dismantle systemic barriers and open new pathways to leadership.

  • Deliver Tailored Leadership Development grounded in the unique realities of Black women executives, from navigating boardrooms to shaping organizational strategy to amplifying thought leadership on national stages.

  • Build Legacy and Influence by ensuring our leadership not only impacts today’s organizations, but also nurtures, mentors, and sponsors the next generation of executive leaders who will carry this work forward.

  • Advance Representation and Visibility so that Black women leaders are not only present in the room but are positioned to shape policy, governance, and culture at every decision-making table.

At its heart, our mission is about sustainability, empowerment, and transformation. We believe that when Black women executives are supported, celebrated, and equipped, we do more than succeed personally; we transform organizations, strengthen communities, and expand opportunities for generations to come.

Our Vision

We envision a future where Black women executives are fully represented, celebrated, and empowered at the highest levels of leadership, not as exceptions, but as essential voices shaping the future of work, society, and global impact.

Our vision is bold and national in scope:

  • A world where C-Suite and senior executive roles, across Human Resources, Operations, Technology, Finance, Education, Philanthropy, Media, Strategy, Communications, and beyond, reflect the brilliance, innovation, and leadership of Black women.

  • A future where Black women keynote speakers, presenters, thought leaders, and facilitators define the conversations that transform organizations, inspire movements, and shape public policy.

  • A landscape where allyship is not optional but expected, and leadership pipelines are intentionally built to be inclusive, equitable, and sustainable.

  • A community where mentorship and sponsorship flourish, ensuring that the next generation of leaders is not only prepared to lead but equipped to thrive.

  • A legacy where our leadership leaves an indelible mark on organizations, industries, and communities across the nation.

Our vision is not simply about representation; it is about redefinition. We will redefine what leadership looks like, how it is practiced, and who it serves. By expanding and reshaping the table, we ensure there is not only a seat for many more, but also a structure that reflects our values, voice, and vision.

Our Commitment to Allies and Sponsors

At the Black Women Executive Human Resources LeadHERship Collective Society, we believe that meaningful progress is built on partnership, not proximity. Real change requires more than observation; it calls for shared responsibility, shared courage, and shared action.

Men, women, and all allies play an essential role in this movement, not as bystanders, but as strategic partners who stand shoulder to shoulder with Black women executives to accelerate equity, amplify leadership, and transform systems of power and influence.

Allies and sponsors bring more than support, they bring advocacy, sponsorship, and collaboration that expand opportunity and drive systemic change. Their voices and actions help amplify the presence and impact of Black women leaders today, while creating pathways for tomorrow’s executives, ensuring that the next generation inherits a landscape defined by inclusion, innovation, and justice.

We recognize that allies are not just part of the conversation; they are co-authors of progress. When allies stand beside Black women executives as trusted collaborators, thought partners, and changemakers, they help to build bridges between intention and action.

Together, we move from allyship to co-leadership, cultivating leadership ecosystems where diversity is valued, equity is measurable, inclusion is intentional, and belonging is sustained.

Our commitment to allies and sponsors is rooted in mutual respect, purpose, and partnership. We invite individuals, corporations, and organizations to engage with us not simply through statements of solidarity but through tangible action, mentorship, sponsorship, thought leadership, and investment in systems that uplift and empower.

Through shared purpose, we are shaping systems, organizations, and cultures that reflect the excellence, vision, and influence of all who lead. Together, we are building a future where inclusion is not performative, it is transformational, measurable, and enduring.

This is the power of partnership.
This is the promise of co-leadership.
This is the future we are building together.
